Who are Veritas Entertainment
THE VERITAS FAMILY
At Veritas we pride ourselves in creating high quality live music and theatrical productions. We create, produce and cast each show ourselves to ensure the calibre of product and performer is first-rate and believe us, we have very high standards.
Mark Halliday has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades with experience on the West End stage in such productions as The Rat Pack – Live From Las Vegas and The Jersey Boys, on tour throughout the UK, Europe and the States in various musicals and is also a highly sought after swing singer on the corporate circuit.
Having started Veritas Entertainment ten years ago, Mark and his team have created multi award winning shows for the cruise, theatre and corporate sectors. As an in house show creation consultancy Veritas can provide elegant, one – off bespoke shows for large corporate events, show teams for longer contracts and full productions of our eight in house shows for international touring.
Joanne trained many, many, many moons ago at the London Studio Centre and the Royal Academy of Music. Since graduating Joanne appeared as Donna Marie, U/S Mrs Lyons in the West End and UK tour of ‘Blood Brothers’, Resident Director/Swing in the international tour of ‘The Rat Pack, Live From Las Vegas’ (where Mark and Jo met), lead vocalist in ‘Dancing Queen’, Mary Du Pon in ‘Blaze, the Musical’, and Roxie Hart in an Italian tour of ‘Chicago’. Her other credits include backing vocalist for Sir Elton John at the Concert for Diana at Wembley and Resort Director for TED Group. Since having 2 wonderful (yet slightly pesky) children, Joanne left the world of the West End and entered into the gigging circuit with various acts both nationally and internationally.
Mark is the brains behind Veritas Entertainment and Joanne has come along for the ride (mainly because she married him). Starting as the choreographer for Veritas Entertainment, she is now the creative director and works bloomin’ hard, hence why she deserves that Espresso Martini!!!!
Yes – Holly also likes a little beverage or two…*hints to that prosecco in hand!* Having trained as an actor at the prestigious East 15 school, Holly quickly found that her strengths and passion for the industry were behind the scenes as a theatre Producer. She started her own theatre company and became heavily involved in the fringe theatre scene from Production Coordinator to Marketing and Press Director for Southend Fringe Festival. Her work with the festival has seen her work closely with partners such as major transport networks, local councils and media outlets; increasing her local and national networks. We were delighted to have Holly onboard as the face of bookings and client logistics back in 2019, routing and booking all of our award winning shows nationally, and we’ve seen her grow into the role of Operations Manager – which mostly involves making sure Mark doesn’t forget things!
Matthew initially trained as an accountant, working in a wide range of roles within the private sector before putting the spreadsheets on hold to train as a performer. After graduating he embarked on this new adventure, which has included productions on London’s West End as well as UK and international tours, whilst also working as a freelance performers’ tax accountant and finance consultant for theatres, bars, restaurants and art galleries in London. He first began working for Veritas Entertainment in 2015 as a member of one of their show casts, but Mark quickly unearthed his hidden talent for numbers and has been putting his experience, which ranges from financial planning & reporting to complex bid modelling and commercial analysis, to good use ever since.
